Day 10 - A song from The Fame Monster and why you decided this one.
Ooh this is a hard one. I was going to choose either Dance in the Dark, or Speechless. I guess I'll just discuss both. Dance in the Dark is such a phenomenal song because it reaches out to insecure and abused women, and simply anyone in general. The song is about freedom, and being set free from your insecurities and everyone who you're afraid. It also deals with the horrific, premature deaths of some of Hollywood's most talented entertainers. You have Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana, all iconic of their murder from fame. It was performed as a tribute to Alexander McQueen, one of Gaga's friends, who was also very young when he passed away. This is song is complex and has many definitions to it. Speechless was written as a plea to her father, to end his alcoholic drinking, and to hopefully get heart surgery, before he could suddenly die. The lyrics form a great love song, speaking upon loving no one else, yet being unable to let go of strong, evident issues. The emotion and immense instrumental incorporation in this song, is so effective and I love this song.
Day 11 - A song from The Fame and why you decided this one
This one is a bit easier, I'd have to say The Fame. The whole album is the concept of being confident, and living as though you're famous, even when you're not. This song in particular is a comical, cliché look at fame, and reasons why some people are obsessed with fame.
Day 12 - The song that got you lovin Gaga and why
Poker Face. Don't ask me why, I just really liked the song.
